Why is Nadege Being acquired?
After much reflection and consideration, we have made the decision to transition the land and assets to a like-minded organization. This is due to a combination of factors, including the need for a sustainable future for the safe house and a desire to continue our mission in a new way through partnership with another organization. While this chapter is ending, we are confident that the work we've begun will carry on through Espere.
What will happen to the safe house and land?
The safe house and land will be transitioned to Espere, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing individual and group counseling, as well as empowering people through education. Espere's mission is closely aligned with the values we’ve held at Nadege, and we are excited that they will continue to use the space to support and uplift individuals and families in need.
Will my monthly donations continue?
Your monthly donations will continue to be processed through early 2025, when the final graduate is successfully transitioned into the community and operational costs have been met. Once this happens, all recurring donations will be automatically stopped. If you wish to adjust or stop your donations before this time, please reach out to us at emily@nadegehaiti.org and we will be happy to assist you.
Can I continue to support the mission of Espere?
Absolutely! Espere is carrying forward much of the work that began with Nadege, and we encourage you to learn more about their mission and consider supporting them if you feel called to do so. For more information about how to contribute, please contact us or visit Espere’s website.
What will happen to the remaining funds after Nadege closes?
All remaining funds will be used to wind down Nadege’s operations and ensure a smooth transition of the safe house and land to Espere. Any surplus will be directed toward supporting the continued mission of Espere.
How will this transition affect the individuals we’ve supported?
Thankfully, we have seen every Nadege graduate successfully integrate back into the community. If those graduates need additional services, we will work closely with Espere to ensure they receive continued support. Espere’s team is well-equipped to provide the counseling, education, and care that will empower these individuals moving forward.
Will I still receive updates about the work being done after the transition?
Once Nadege officially transitions, regular communications from us will stop. However, we encourage you to stay connected with Espere to receive updates about their work and the continued use of the safe house and land. You can sign up for updates through Espere’s website at https://www.esperecounseling.org/.
Who can I contact if I have more questions?
We’re here to answer any questions you might have during this transition. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at either emily@nadegehaiti.org or info@esperecounseling.org, and we will be happy to assist you.
Can I still share Nadege’s mission with others before it closes?
Yes! We are so grateful for any additional support or awareness you can bring to Nadege’s mission before we officially close. Any contributions will help us continue serving those in need until our final day of operation and ensure a smooth transition to Espere.
How can I help during this transition?
We would appreciate your continued prayers and support during this transition. If you feel led to, you can also help by sharing Espere’s mission with others, ensuring that the safe house remains a strong and vibrant resource for those in need.
Thank you for your kindness and dedication over the years. We are forever grateful for the community of supporters like you who have made our work possible. If you have further questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Warm regards,
The Nadege Team
